Methods Employed in the Hair Transplant Procedure and their Significant

The hair loss problem becomes devastating when it presents the baldness issue with various Norwood grades. The hair loss problem has only one permanent solution, i.e., the hair transplant surgery that helps in covering the bald areas with full of hair grafts. The hair transplant surgery is performed by transferring the hair roots from the donor areas to the recipient balding areas of the scalp followed by the hair root dissection process under the higher magnification of microscopes. Generally, the procedure strength is rated on the basis of the extraction and the output received by using the particular method or technique. There are two types of hair transplant surgery employed in the procedure to extract the grafts, namely, the FUT and the FUE hair transplant with one modified and advanced technique of the combination method of both FUT and FUE. However, there are three types of hair restoration surgery, i.e., FUT, FUE as well as the combined technique of the FUT+FUE. The hair transplant procedure is a prominent hair loss treatment globally accepted as a permanent solution to the problem of Androgenic alopecia or the genetic baldness.

The hair transplant in Chennai is very popular as a number of patients from Chennai used to visit Jaipur or Delhi to receive the restoration procedure and this is due to the fact of the best hair transplant surgeon and clinics in these cities that have always driven patients to visit here to get the restoration surgery done. The hair transplant cost in Chennai is also not much favourable as it charges higher cost despite being medium services and facilities.

There are 3 types of hair transplant surgeries described below:

  1. The FUT Hair Transplant: The FUT or the follicular unit transplant is the most basic way to extract the hair roots from the safe donor part of the scalp, i.e., the back & sides of the scalp. The FUT technique helps in obtaining only the permanent results due to the fact of involving the back and sides as a donor area for graft extraction. The FUT hair transplant surgery is also known as the strip method of the surgery as the excision of the strip is taken from the safe donor part that later sent to the dissection process where technicians dissect every single graft under higher magnification of microscopes. The FUT technique is known as the most acceptable technique in the procedure gives the permanent results without any kind of side effects or discomfort.
  2. The FUE Hair Transplant: The FUE or the follicular unit transplant is the way of extraction in which every single graft is extracted in a single time via the motorized punching machine or the manual punching process. The FUE extraction is based on the speculation and forecasting ability of a surgeon as the extraction points are targeted without any fair idea about the angle and direction. The FUE extraction is based on the speculation and thus it doesn’t offer a feasible number of grafts to fulfil the desired restoration goal of the surgery. The FUE hair transplant surgery is preferable when a patient needs the body hair transplant or they are affected by the relatively lesser grade of Norwood baldness.
  3. The FUT+FUE Hair Transplant: The combined method of FUT+FUE hair transplant is performed when a patient needs a number of grafts to cover the extremely high grade of Norwood baldness. The combined technique is usually performed in a large hair transplant session and therefore it is also known as the Mega/Giga session of hair transplants.

The Medispa hair transplant centre has a leading position in the hair restoration field by providing the combined method of FUT+FUE hair transplant. Dr Suneet Soni is a pioneer name in the field of hair restoration routinely performs the Mega/Giga hair transplant sessions.

On the whole, we can say that the procedure of hair transplant must be performed by the expert surgeon in order to receive the best outcomes and attending the primary consultation is must to know the status of hair loss as well as technique suitability to perform the procedure.
